still mooseless and quite damp

Well, here I am back again - still mooseless and quite damp. I'm weaving my heart out on a shawl for my son's math teacher (we are all lesser mortals compared to Ms. Cunningham) I'm on a deadline I have to get it done by 4/1 as they're leaving on a school trip. Just tried to place a picture of the warp but the computer stuck it's tongue out at me.
I'm using an 8 harness 2block twill to vaguely resemble an infinity symbol.

We're damp up here and the Kennebec river is close to flooding.
Reading this back is a bit boring, but hey it's a rainy Tuesday.......

First time for everything

Well, this is it. My first blog. Always swore I never would do it. I'm up here in the glorious state of Maine on (and sometimes in depending on water height) the glorious Kennebec river - I know Spring is coming since the ducks are quacking in the early morning. Since ducks prefer to swim as apposed to walk, they are a good harbinger of that final ice thaw.

Glorious weather out the window - we're entering mud season

A bit about me - I'm a weaver - not the day job, but would like it to be.

I weave on Maine-built Macomber looms. Built like the proverbial brick s********, even the BabyMac.
